La Comisión Interamericana de los Derechos Humanos ("CIDH") hace un llamado a abogados/as para trabajar como consultor/a en la Relatoría sobre los Derechos de la Niñez ("Relatoría") a fin de colaborar en la ejecución de sus tareas diarias, además de elaborar y publicar estudios temáticos, analizar la jurisprudencia en el sistema de casos individuales, realizar investigaciones, visitas a los países y elaboración de informes generales.

La Comisión Interamericana sólo considerará solicitudes presentadas antes de la fecha de cierre, que contengan los documentos solicitados y que cumplan con los requisitos incluidos en esta convocatoria.
Resultados esperados[2]:
1.. Colaboración con la Relatoría y los abogados de la Secretaría Ejecutiva de la CIDH en el procesamiento de peticiones, casos y solicitudes de medidas cautelares relativos a los derechos de los niños, niñas y adolescentes. Asesoría a Estados miembros en el cumplimiento de los fallos de la Corte Interamericana.
2.. Elaboración de estudios referenciales sobre la problemática de la violencia en contra de los niños, niñas y adolescentes. Identificación de patrones comunes en casos relacionados con denuncias internacionales por hechos de violencia contra la niñez. Elaboración y presentación a la CIDH de sugerencias de recomendaciones generales relacionadas con violencia contra la niñez.
3.. Actualización de la página electrónica de la CIDH dedicado específicamente al trabajo de la Relatoría y de la Comisión en el área de los derechos de la niñez y la adolescencia.
4.. Preparación de presentaciones y hojas informativas con resúmenes de estudios temáticos y de país, y de casos publicados por la Relatoría y la CIDH, así como otros asuntos relacionados con los derechos de la niñez y la adolescencia en la región.
5.. Edición de informes de país y temáticos y sus traducciones a ser publicados por la Relatoría en materia de derechos de la niñez y la adolescencia.
6.. Difusión de estándares internacionales sobre violencia contra la niñez. Promoción y difusión de la Relatoría de la Niñez y del Sistema Interamericano:
a. Actualización y nueva edición del libro "La infancia y sus derechos" (español e inglés),
b. elaboración de un informe sobre violencia contra la niñez (español e inglés)
c. Realización de viajes de difusión.
Requisitos mínimos:
1.. Diploma de abogado de una universidad reconocida.
2.. Cinco años de experiencia práctica en el campo de los derechos humanos, con énfasis en derechos de la niñez y la adolescencia.
3.. Experiencia práctica en la preparación de materiales informativos relacionados con los derechos humanos y los asuntos relacionados con los derechos de la niñez y la adolescencia. Es deseable que cuente con experiencia en el trabajo con páginas electrónicas.
4.. Familiaridad con el derecho internacional de los derechos humanos y el derecho interno de los Estados Miembros de la OEA. Conocimiento de los mecanismos de la protección internacional de los derechos humanos.
5.. Capacidad comprobada de investigar cuestiones legales y de trabajar rápidamente para preparar acciones, reportes y recomendaciones.
6.. Fluidez en español y en inglés. Conocimiento práctico de francés y portugués es deseable.
7.. Excelente capacidad de comunicación oral y escrita. Habilidad de comunicarse con personas de todos los niveles sociales y educativos.
8.. Capacidad de trabajar independientemente y con supervisión limitada, en situaciones que requieren trabajo de equipo y producir resultados en plazos breves.
