VENCE HOY!! ENVIEN PRONTO SU APOYO!!!!!!
PEDIDO DE APOYO A CANDIDATURA DE SUSANA CHIAROTTI COMO REPORTERA ESPECIAL EN TRAFICO DE PERSONAS, CON ENFASIS EN MUJERES Y NIÑAS
En los próximos días se realizarán las elecciones para elegir a las/os nuevas/os Reporteras/os Especiales para los procedimientos especiales en el ámbito de las Naciones Unidas, para el cual CLADEM presentó la candidatura de nuestra compañera Susana Chiarotti para el mandato de Reportera Especial en Trafico de Personas, con énfasis en Mujeres y Niñas.
Susana, ha hecho parte del CLADEM a lo largo de toda su historia y actualmente es integrante del Consejo Consultivo y Responsable del Area de Monitoreo. Para nuestra organización y para miles de mujeres en latinoamérica y otras regiones del mundo su elección es de suma importancia y significado, ya que representa una posición activa de protección de los derechos humanos de las mujeres, de compromiso con su empoderamiento y fortalecimiento de la representación de la región de Latino América en un organismo tan estratégico de monitoreo a nivel internacional.
En tal sentido, solicitamos a todas las organizaciones de mujeres de la región y organizaciones de derechos humanos comprometidas en esta lucha que manifiesten ante la Oficina del Alto Comisionado y autoridades nacionales su apoyo a la candidatura de Susana Chiarotti, reconociendo su legitimidad, competencia y compromiso en la lucha por la defensa de los derechos humanos en general y de los derechos humanos de las mujeres en particular.
Para facilitar la tarea adjuntamos a ustedes las cartas-modelo (para el Alto Comisionado y para autoridades nacionales) y un resumen de su curriculum y trayectoria que pueden usar para las comunicaciones, la misma que pueden modificar y adaptar (van en versión español e inglés)

PETITION FOR SUPPORT FOR THE CANDIDACY OF DR. SUSANA CHIAROTTI BOERO FOR THE POSITION OF THE UNITED NATIONS SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS, ESPECIALLY IN WOMEN AND CHILDREN
In the next days, will be made the elections of the Special Reporters for the Special Procedures in the United Nations, for which CLADEM support the nomination of Dr. Susana Chiarotti Boero for the mandate of Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, Especially in Women and Children.
Susana, has been a member of CLADEM from the start and presently she is a member of our Advisory Council and responsible of Monitoring Program. For our organization and for thousands of women in Latin America as well as from other regions, her reelection is of high importance and significance as it represents the continuation of an active position of protection of women human rights, a commitment with their empowerment and the consolidation of the representation of the region of Latin America within this strategic international monitoring body.
In that sense, we ask all women organizations of the region and human rights organizations that share this same commitment, to express their support to the election of Susana Chiarotti before the Office of the High Commissioner and their respective governments, as a recognition of her legitimacy, competence and commitment in the struggle for women human rights in particular.
To facilitate this task, we attach a model letter (to the Office of the High Commissioner and to respective governments) and a summary of her CV and background that can be also used in your communications, a letter that can be also modified and adapted (in English and Spanish).
